LAHORE – Former federal minister Asad Umar claimed on Tuesday that he has no interest of returning to practical politics.

During a media interview following his appearance before an anti-terrorism court over the May 9 arson cases, Asad wished former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and former finance minister Miftah Ismail well with their newly established political group.

When asked if he will join Awaam Pakistan, Asad declined to join Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s political party.
