The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has postponed the hearing on PTI founder and Bushra Bibi’s sentence suspension plea in the £190 million case until after Eid.
The case was heard by a two-member panel made up of Acting Chief Justice Sardar Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Muhammad Asif.
However, because the chief defense lawyer was not present, advocate Shuaib Shaheen requested that the hearing be postponed until the main counsel arrived from the Supreme Court.
In response, acting Chief Justice Sardar Sarfraz Dogar said the case will be scheduled after Eid.
IHC CJ informed that a bench member had already created the written order for the meetings, which he would sign as soon as it arrived.
Meanwhile, advocates Shoaib Shaheen and Salman Akram Raja said that the court had instructed jail authorities to allow meetings with the PTI founder, but prison officials refused to accept the list of visitors submitted the day before.
