ISLAMABAD (Channel News Pakistan) Bushra Bibi, the wife of former prime minister Imran Khan, has requested an urgent hearing at the Islamabad High Court on her appeal to have her sentence suspended in the £190 million case.

According to Bushra Bibi’s petition, the hearing was originally set for March 25 but was postponed because her principal attorney was involved in a murder case before the Supreme Court. Due to additional delays brought on by the court’s limited cause list, the case was delayed past Eid.

She emphasized that, as a 54-year-old housewife, both the primary appeal and her plea for a sentencing postponement should be considered before to Eid.

The NAB chairman and the federal government were named as respondents in the petition.
