RAWALPINDI (Channel News Pakistan) – Six militants were slain by security personnel in the Kalat area of Balochistan during an intelligence-based operation.

The security forces successfully targeted terrorist hideouts in Kalat district, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In recent terror attacks in the region, the terrorists have continued to aggressively target both law enforcement and innocent bystanders.

The goal of the sanitization effort is to get rid of any other terrorists that could be there. Pakistan’s security forces are resolute in their efforts to undermine Balochistan’s peace, stability, and advancement.

The prime minister, the army chief, and other important players are working together to fight terrorism, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated earlier in the day.

Interior Minister Naqvi emphasized at the meeting that the provinces will be consulted on all counterterrorism issues.

He emphasized the need of having fully functional CTDs at the province level, especially in areas with serious security issues like Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Interior Minister Talal Chaudhry, Federal Interior Secretary, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director General (DG) Passport, National Coordinator of the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA), Chief Commissioner Islamabad, and security agency representatives attended the meeting.
