KARACHI, Pakistan – After 12 members of one family were found to contain the omicron version of covid-19, the government implemented a micro-smart lockdown in a Karachi neighbourhood.
Medical stores and bakers are excluded from the lockdown, but all other usual activity in the impacted districts would be halted, according to the announcement.
Furthermore, according to the authorities, pillion riding on a motorcycle in Gulshan Iqbal’s block 7 would be prohibited until January 14th.
Officials are constantly working to implement the health department’s severe instructions to stop the spread of the omicron virus. All appropriate actions are being considered, and citizens are being asked to adhere to SOPs.
Officials emphasised the importance of using masks as directed.
