Haris Sohail’s place in the team for the opening ODI against England in Cardiff is in jeopardy, as the cricketer is still suffering from soreness in his right leg. Because of his injury, Sohail will miss the national team’s two practise sessions in Derby on July 5 and 6. Sohail had missed the intra-squad practise matches last week owing to the same issue.
The left-handed batter has begun his recovery and will have an MRI scan on July 6 in Cardiff before a decision is made on his eligibility for the July 8 ODI against England.
The three-match One-Day International series between Pakistan and England, part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League, will begin on July 8 at Cardiff.
On July 6, the Pakistani squad will go to Cardiff.
