On Sunday, the 20th anniversary of the death of famous Urdu poet and lyricist Qateel Shifai will be commemorated in Lahore.
Qateel Shifai was born in Haripur on December 24, 1919.
His true name was Muhammad Aurangzeb, but he went under the pen name Qateel Shifai.
Over 20 volumes of poetry and over 2500 film songs have been published by him.
For his contribution to writing, he received the Pride of Performance Award in 1994, as well as an Adamjee Award, a Naqoosh Award, and an Abasin Arts Council Award.
On this day in Lahore, Qateel Shifai died.
