ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi has claimed that Pakistan has sacrificed more than 100,000 life in the battle against terrorism in a lauding of Pakistan’s military and the people for brave battling terrorism.
President Alvi spoke today of Pakistan as the only country in the world to fight terrorism in the main Independence Day event that took place at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad.
On this occasion, President Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Alam Iqbal, Syed Ahmad Khan and other foundational stalwarts of Pakistan presented a glorious homage. The President paid respect to the President of Pakistan.
He added: “We are here today because of their efforts,” and Pakistan was created after huge sacrifices by Muslims in the sub-continent.
The President remarked that Pakistan was subjected to three wars with a range of pretexts.
President Alvi discussed the nuclear test in India and said that in seven years Pakistan has given a suitable answer by his hard effort to New Delhi. He said that Pakistan too had an arms race.
