ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Democratic Movement’s (PDM) leaders will meet today (Monday) to discuss a protest plan against growing prices, electronic vote machines (EVMs), and the PDM’s position on granting voting rights to Pakistanis living abroad.
The virtual session of the Pakistan Democratic Movement will begin at 3:00 p.m., according to a PDM official. The session will be chaired by Maulana Fazlur Rehman, PDM president and JUI-F chairman, via video connection from Islamabad.
Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Sardar Akhtar Mengal, Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Aftab Sherpao, Dr. Abdul Malik, Prof. Sajid Mir, and Shah Awais Noorani will join the meeting via video link.
The representative went on to say that leaders from all of the PDM’s parties will be able to join the meeting via video connection. He said the gathering will deliberate on a future plan for anti-inflation rallies, as well as consultations on EVMs, electoral reforms, granting voting rights to abroad Pakistanis, the NAB ordinance, and other matters.
