ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Asad Umar, Federal Minister for Planning and Development, stated on Monday that the new coronavirus type is exceedingly harmful, and that the next two to three weeks are critical in this respect.
During a news conference with SAPM Faisal Sultan, National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) chief Asad Umar stated that the new variety is spreading over the world, but that the vaccine is the only way to guard against the virus.
According to Asad Umar, the government is taking efforts to restrict the spread of the variation in the country. He advised people to be vaccinated against the virus while planning a large vaccination drive in the next two to three days.
Faisal Sultan stated on the occasion that the omicron type is spreading quicker than other varieties. The virus is affecting unvaccinated individuals all around the world, he noted.
According to the PM’s assistant, millions of individuals have been vaccinated, but millions more have still to receive their shots.
