General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), presided over a Corps Commanders Conference on Wednesday at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
According to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) release, the group was given a full briefing on the country’s security situation, including recent developments in Balochistan.
The attendees were informed about the counter-destabilization measures being implemented in Pakistan.
The conference also paid respect to the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country’s defence while heroically repelling recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan and inflicted significant losses on them.
The COAS expressed his satisfaction with the formations’ operational readiness and the protections in place to frustrate the plans of hostile forces.
He stated that in the war against terrorism, we have gone a long way, and that the military forces, with the nation’s backing, have carried out effective operations against terrorists of all hues and colours.
“Their frantic attempts at resurrection will not succeed,” Gen Bajwa stated again. Regardless of the cost, we will destroy all remains of terrorists, their abettors, and accomplices, he stated.
General Bajwa further commanded that all formations focus on maintaining high levels of basic military training in order to guarantee that operations in the conventional and sub-conventional domains are carried out effectively.
