On Friday, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) detained Chaudhry Tanveer, a former senator and leader of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), at Karachi airport.
According to the FIA, Chaudhry Tanveer was reportedly implicated in corruption cases in Punjab and was on a’stop list.’
Chaudhry Tanveer was apprehended at the airport while attempting to exit the country, according to FIA authorities. Sources further claim that the former senator is facing many alleged corruption cases at the Punjab Anti-Corruption Commission.
Chaudhry Tanveer would be turned over to Punjab Anti-Corruption following an initial inquiry, according to the FIA.
