LAHORE – Hamza Shahbaz, a prominent politician of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), stated on Monday that the no-confidence vote against Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar will be successful.
In a statement, Hamza Shahbaz claimed that a no-trust petition has been filed against Punjab CM Usman Buzdar, and that the opposition has finished its plot to depose him.
When asked about the next contender for the office of Chief Minister of Punjab, the Opposition Leader of the Punjab Assembly remarked that sending the government packing is more essential than declaring the nominee.
Earlier in the day, the opposition in the Punjab Assembly filed a no-confidence resolution against Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Usman Buzdar in an attempt to depose him.
A Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz member of the Punjab Assembly (MPA) proposed the resolution (PML-N). The opposition has also requested that the assembly session be called.
It’s worth noting that, under the legislation, the Chief Minister cannot dissolve the Punjab Assembly once the no-confidence motion is submitted.
The Speaker of the House, on the other hand, is required to convene an Assembly session within 14 days of the no-confidence resolution being filed against the CM.
