In light of the country’s current political circumstances, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar’s resignation is likely to be accepted today (Thursday).
The Governor House has received the resignation of the Punjab Chief Minister, which is expected to be accepted on Thursday.
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar will tell the Assembly Secretariat today that the resignation has been approved.
Following Mr. Buzdar’s resignation, the Assembly Secretariat will commence measures to elect a new Chief Minister of Punjab.
Following the ratification of the resignation, the date for assembling the assembly and holding the election will be announced.
