Virat Kohli’s third golden duck of the IPL season came on Sunday, extending the Indian superstar’s batting skid.
Kohli clipped the ball straight to short midwicket off left-arm spinner Jagadeesha Suchith while opening the batting for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Mumbai.
Kohli was dismissed on the first ball for the third time in the current IPL, including two in a row last month.
In 12 matches, the 33-year-old top batsman and former India skipper has only hit 216 runs with one half-century.
Former India coach Ravi Shastri believes Kohli is “overcooked” as a result of constant cricket and should take a vacation.
