The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) decided to de-seat 25 dissident members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf from the Punjab Assembly, causing political and constitutional instability (PTI).

The numbers game has become significant again in the Punjab Assembly, creating an interesting situation for both parties.

The support of Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz now stands at 172, with 5 deviant PML-N members bringing the total to 177.

PTI, on the other hand, has 158 members out of 183 because 25 of them are dissidents.
