LAHORE (Web Desk)– Nida Yasir, an actor and TV broadcaster, has reacted to criticism for bringing viral guests on her morning programme.
“Not everyone is going to like you — whether it’s your day-to-day life, people in school, college, or university,” the “Nadaaniyan” star stated on a talk programme. You either have good pals or those who dislike you. It’s a fact of life, and you can’t please everyone. I read this tweet from Shafaat when I invited popular TikToker Ayesha on my programme and everyone chastised me for not inviting individuals who had received a medal for anything or someone with a list of accomplishments.”
She claims she performs a number of programmes in which she invites various sorts of individuals, but they “never go viral” or gain her any viewers. “On my programme, I’ve welcomed eight to ten people at a time who perform such unusual things that you’re surprised. Consider the ‘pawri ho rahi hai’ girl and Zara, who both received honours. On my programme, I phoned both of them together. Now tell me which of the two you know best. Zara, where have you gone? It’s not my fault; it’s the fault of the people.”
According to Nida, if TV series these days are centred on “saas-bahu [mother-in-law daughter-in-law] difficulties” and bring in ratings, then the channel presents precisely what people want to watch. “If I invite well-educated individuals on my programme, then you must watch it. Why don’t you try it? You watched the one programme I made at the request of many people since people today link my picture to someone I don’t even know. “People want it to happen, and then they complain,” Yasir reasoned.
She informed the presenter that she has been presenting the programme for 14 years and that people who sleep through her morning show subsequently criticise her, citing a viral footage. “I have to spice things up so people enjoy it. Many people’s sole source of amusement is weddings, and others who are preoccupied with other things do not watch my programme. They must attend parties at night and have difficulty waking up in the morning. They may watch the repeat, but I’m looking for live ratings.”
“I am the sort of lady the woman behind the screen can identify with me because what I have encountered realistically is what she has faced,” the 49-year-old actor-host remarked, explaining why she believes her programme has been successful for over a decade and a half. I, too, am a mother, wife, and daughter-in-law – that is the kind of programme I host. Have you ever seen me do a nighttime concert in [tight] clothes with my leg exposed? That’s because I’m incapable of doing it.
