ISLAMABAD (channel news) – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) withdrew from the talks on Thursday, citing the government’s inability to appoint judicial commissions to probe the May 9, 2023 and November 26, 2024 cases.

Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, PTI Chairman, informed the reporters outside Adiala Jail that Imran Khan has instructed the party to withdraw from the talks due to the government’s delay in forming judicial commissions, as the PTI asked.

Barrister Gohar noted that despite having given the administration a seven-day deadline, no movement had been achieved in convening a judicial panel.

He stressed that the PTI preferred to address disputes via discussion. However, if the administration fails to announce the commission, no more rounds of discussions would be held. He stressed that negotiations would only resume if a three-member judicial committee was created.

Barrister Gohar further stated that Imran Khan underlined his commitment to continuing efforts within the constitution and the law, as well as to working with other opposition parties to promote their cause.

The PTI chairman further stated that the party was not looking for foreign support.
