GUJRANWALA – According to reports, authorities in Gujranwala enforced a smart lockdown in five communities on Friday due to an increase in coronavirus infections in these regions.

Multiple sections of Wapda Town, City Housing, and Baghbanpura would be under lockdown, according to a notification issued in this respect. The smart lockdown will last until July 24th.
People have been told to stay indoors unless absolutely essential, and public and religious gatherings, as well as pillion riding on motorbikes, have been banned.

All persons entering and departing the designated locations will be forced to wear face masks, and those who have no business in these areas will not be permitted to pass through.

During this time, however, hospitals, food stores, medical stores, and shops providing necessities will stay open.
