ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has Shibli Faraz, the federal minister of science and technology, officiated in the harvesting of the first official crop of bhang (cannabis).
The first crop of bhang (cannabis) cultivated on a government level was successfully prepared in three and a half months, according to the Federal Minister during the inauguration event.
The seeds of the cannabis plant were taken from Balochistan and Gilgit Baltistan, according to the information, and they were grown on a one-acre plot.
On this occasion, the federal minister reaffirmed the advantages of cannabis cultivation and its medical applications. He claims that cannabis cultivation is ten times more useful than other medicines, and that the negative aspects will be ignored. Bhang, according to the ministry, might be used as a cotton alternative.
“A bhang seed is worth $12 on the international market, and increasing its legal export would help to reduce its unlawful commerce,” Shibli Faraz said.
Shibli Faraz went on to say that, in line with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan’s objective, mass-scale manufacture of Zaitoon has also begun. There will be higher foreign exchange savings as a result of this.
According to agricultural specialists, Pakistan must be completely equipped to meet the worldwide market demand for cannabis.
