(Web Desk) A video went popular on social media showing Jaya Bachchan being irritated with a parliament chairman when he addressed her by her full name.
The experienced actress disliked the way he addressed her.
In the video, the man refers to Jaya by saying, “Mrs Jaya Amitabh Bachchan Ji.”
Jaya responded with this: “Sir, if you would have only called me ‘Jaya Bachchan’, that would have sufficed.”
The chairman responded, “That’s the full name on here, which is why I repeated it.”
Jaya was dissatisfied, saying, “This is a new thing in which women are known by their husbands’ names.
“They have no identity of their own.”
