(Web Desk) BIRMINGHAM — Malala Yousafzai, the youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate and a Pakistani activist, announced her marriage to Asser Malik, the high-performance general manager of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday, prompting a flood of happy responses on social media.
The two tied a knot of unity in a tiny Nikkah ceremony at Malala’s home in Birmingham, England, according to the reports. The bride and groom’s immediate family and friends were present for the wedding ceremony.
Messages of congratulations began pouring in from all around the world as soon as the Nobel Laureate uploaded photos of her Nikkah on social media. Celebrities, politicians, journalists, and musicians from all around the world have offered the couple their best wishes.
