RAWALPINDI – Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the leader of the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), requested permission on Thursday to organize a public demonstration in Lal Haveli, Rawalpindi, but the deputy commissioner of Rawalpindi denied his request.
It should be mentioned that on August 13, a former federal minister asked the district government to arrange a gathering in Lal Haveli.
Ahmed’s plea was denied by the district administration on the grounds that the garrison city’s law and order was unstable.
