QUETTA – Five terrorists were killed during a security operation in the Hazarganji region on Tuesday, according to the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD).

During a security operation on the outskirts of Quetta, terrorists opened fire on law enforcement agencies and CTD soldiers, according to a CTD spokesperson.

When security forces responded, five terrorists were killed, according to the spokeswoman, who added that the corpses of the militants had been transported to a nearby hospital for identification.
He said that the deceased terrorists’ guns and ammo were discovered by law enforcement.
Violence has been on the rise in Balochistan, with the most recent incident being a bomb on Quetta Airport Road on July 1 that injured six people.
Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Jam Kamal, has denounced the attack and stated that the terrorists responsible will not be spared.

He has previously stated, “The government would not remain inactive till terrorism is eradicated.”

According to the ISPR, a Pakistan Army soldier was killed last month when terrorists assaulted soldiers stationed near Turbat.
Naik Aqeel Abbas, the killed soldier, was a native of Mehro Peelo in District Chakwal.
According to the ISPR, the terrorists used small arms to attack the forces. “Such despicable activities by hostile groups supported by anti-state forces cannot destroy Balochistan’s hard-won peace and development,” the military’s media wing stated immediately after the event.

“Security personnel are adamant about putting an end to their evil plans, even if it means sacrificing blood and life.”
