ISLAMABAD — The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) voiced great worry on Wednesday over the country’s recurrence of global pandemic cases.
The problem of rising coronavirus infections was discussed at a meeting led by Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar. Provincial Chief Secretaries were also able to participate in the conference through video connection.
While taking note of breaches of SOPs in various sectors, the NCOC recommended that SOPs be followed. In addition, the conference issued Eidul Adha instructions.
The western border has been blocked since June 18 owing to the worrisome condition of coronavirus in Afghanistan, with concessions made to Pakistani and Afghan individuals stuck on both sides during the closure.
According to sources close to the health minister, Gilgit has the highest rate of positive Covid cases in the country, at 27.03 percent, while Jhelum and Swabi have zero instances, and the 22 districts of the four provinces are crucial in terms of coronavirus.
Positive Covid cases occur at a rate of 13.79 percent in Muzaffarabad, 11.50 percent in Karachi, 5.40 percent in Islamabad, 5.19 percent in Peshawar, 4.35 percent in Multan, 4.21 percent in Nowshera, 4.1 percent in Quetta, and 2.48 percent in Rawalpindi on a daily basis. In Hyderabad, 1.84 percent, in Mirpur Azad Kashmir, 1.49 percent, and in Lahore, 1.09 percent.
In ten districts, the daily rate of positive cases is less than 1%. There are less than 1% positive corona cases in Abbottabad, Charsadda, Mardan, Swat, Swabi, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Gujarat, and Jhelum.
