In AJK, Bilawal and Maryam are waging the ‘Abbu Bachao’ campaign. Fawad Chaudary

During their Azad Jammu and Kashmir election campaigns, PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz are waging “Abbu Bachao” campaigns, according to Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry.

The heads of the PML-N and the PPP are heading their respective parties’ campaigns for the 11th AJK Legislative Assembly elections, which will be conducted on July 25.

In an address to party workers in Abbottabad, Chaudhry sneered at the two parties, claiming that they had campaigned for the GB polls but were unhappy because they couldn’t field candidates.

“They’re in the same boat in the AJK,” the federal minister added, “since [both parties] can’t find people to run in several seats.”

Both the PPP and the PML-N, according to Fawad, lack a political culture since they are led by two royal families, one with a “queen” and the other with a “king” at the head.

He claimed that the PPP and PML-N leaders have no regard for their party workers and consider past prime ministers as’slaves.’
