MIRPUR — Maryam Nawaz, vice-president of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), cautioned the government on Saturday against rigging the next election in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
The PML-N vice president, speaking at a public gathering in Islamgarh, stated that this is neither 2018 nor the old PML-N, and that the Kashmiri people would not flee if their votes were stolen.
Maryam Nawaz also stated that Azad Kashmir has made its choice before to the poll, and that Kashmiris had shown their support for Nawaz Sharif in the July 25 election.
She insisted that the PTI’s minister could not visit Kashmir and asked supporters to not only vote on July 25 but also to vote responsibly.
Despite cheating, the PML-N politician, who is running for election in Azad Kashmir, claimed that her party won the Daska by-elections. “Imran Khan is launching his election campaign from his ATM constituency,” she added, adding that he is doing it in the Bagh region since he discovered an ATM there.
Imran Khan is inaugurating projects started by her father, Nawaz Sharif, according to the former first daughter, who also stated that Nawaz Sharif is a teacher and that the former prime minister intended to build a freeway in Kashmir.
“During PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif’s term, China intended to launch several projects in Kashmir with its money,” she claimed, adding that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was advancing.
