ISLAMABAD: As the fourth wave of COVID-19 intensifies, Pakistan passed the one million daily doses threshold on Monday, with Islamabad being the first city to vaccinate at least half of its eligible population.
Asad Umar, the Federal Minister for Planning, went to Twitter to give information on the COVID-19 vaccine campaign, which has been scaled up to combat the disease’s spread.
“Happy to inform that the 1 million vaccinations in a day objective we set for ourselves was exceeded yesterday with 10 lakh 72 thousand vaccines,” he tweeted.
According to Umar, all federating units participated, with Punjab, Sindh, KPK, and Islamabad all administering record amounts of vaccination doses.
