ISLAMABAD – Another two million doses of the coronavirus vaccination have arrived in Islamabad, according to Channel News.
China has generously given the vaccinations.
A special aircraft of the national carrier PK6853 landed at 12:15 p.m. today, according to official sources, carrying a supply of COVID-19 vaccinations from China.
Pakistan’s immunisation campaign is gaining traction, with more than 30 million people immunised so far.
As the fourth wave of COVID-19 intensifies, Pakistan has reached a milestone of 1 million daily doses, with Islamabad being the first city to vaccinate 50% of its eligible population with at least one shot, according to Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar.
According to data from Johns Hopkins University, Pakistan ranks 17th among countries that vaccinate their population in terms of doses provided.
