Firdous Ashiq Awan, the former Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Punjab for Information, was prevented from attending the Punjab Assembly on Monday.
According to reports, the former SACM arrived at the assembly to witness Ahsan Saleem Baryar’s inauguration but was surprised to see that she was not on the list.
Firdous Ashiq Awan, who resigned as SACM on Friday on information, less than a year after being nominated to the job, claimed she was on the list of visitors at the time, but that her name was afterwards deleted.
It’s worth noting that the ruling PTI won the PP-38, Sialkot IV, seat in what turned out to be a huge upset against the PML-N. Candidate for the PTI, Chaudhry Ahsan Saleem Baryar, received 60,588 votes.
