PM Imran Khan pays a one-day visit to Karachi.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan is in Karachi for a day to inspect and provide directions on federal government projects there.


The prime minister will attend crucial meetings in the Sindh Governor House, accompanied by ministers Asad Umar and Zubaida Jalal.

The Prime Minister is now at the Karachi Shipyard for the inauguration of the Ship Lift and Transfer System.

Imran Ismail, the governor of Sindh, and federal ministers Asad Umar, Ali Haider Zaidi, and Zubaida Jalal are among those present for the ceremony.

At the Karachi Port Trust (KPT), the premier will be briefed on the numerous federal government projects currently being implemented in the city under the Karachi Transformation Plan’s umbrella.

The prime minister is likely to give directions on their execution.

Railways Minister Azam Swati will update Prime Minister Imran Khan on the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) project, according to sources, and the prime minister is likely to visit the Hub Chowki following the meetings at the KPT.

The prime minister is scheduled to return to Islamabad by Tuesday night once his formal commitments are completed.
