Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s 17-month term as the country’s eigth Prime Minister has come to an end.

Muhyiddin’s resignation was announced by Istana Negara in a statement. This follows his brief meeting with the Yang-di Pertuan Agong, Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, which lasted around 30 minutes.
