ISLAMABAD: According to reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan has chosen not to prolong Ehsan Mani’s tenure as Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

According to a television report, the prime minister is considering selecting a cricketer as the PCB’s next chairman after Ehsan Mani allegedly failed to meet his expectations.

Ramiz Raja, a former Pakistan cricketer who won the World Cup alongside Imran Khan in 1992, has emerged as the front-runner for the job.

According to sources, the prime believes that an experienced cricketer, such as Ramiz Raja, can put his idea into action.

According to them, the PM will make the final choice in a few days.

According to sources familiar with the situation, Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is also the patron in chief of the PCB, would suggest two candidates to the governing board for the coveted position in the coming days.

The prime minister’s representatives on the PCB governing board are Ehsan Mani and Asad Ali Khan.
