LAHORE, Pakistan — Young physicians resumed their protest against the National Licensing Examination (NLE) outside the Examination Center opposite Sapphire Hall in Lahore’s Barkat Market on Sunday.
According to reports, police have surrounded the area and deployed pepper spray to disperse the demonstrators.
House offices from other hospitals have also taken part in the demonstration.
Protesting physicians have threatened to stage a sit-in at Islamabad Medical Complex (IMC) if the authorities do not reverse their decision on the NLE exam within 24 hours.
