ISLAMABAD: In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus, the National Command and Operation Centre has decided to implement a fresh set of restrictions in the federal capital from September 4 to September 12.
Prime Minister Imran Khan was briefed on the new limitations at the NCOC meeting, which was led by Federal Minister for Planning, Development, Reforms, and Special Initiatives Asad Umar.
All indoor and outdoor meetings and events have been banned throughout the city, according to the NCOC. However, only outdoor wedding festivities with a limit of 300 people are permitted.
Furthermore, interstate public transportation in cities with a high incidence of coronavirus infections has been prohibited. Indoor gyms will be closed as well.
Meanwhile, Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqaat said that the rising number of COVID-19 cases has put additional strain on hospitals, necessitating the imposition of new limitations.
The DC used Twitter to announce the implementation of limitations in Islamabad, which would begin on September 4 and last until September 12, 2021.
