LAHORE, – According to CNP, dense fog covered areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Thursday and Friday night, severely affecting vehicle traffic and paralysing daily life.
According to information, the Motorway M1 from Peshawar to Swabi, the Swat Motorway’s Karnal Sher Khan-Katlang Section, the Motorway M4 from Sher Shah Interchange to Abdul Hakim, and the Motorway M5 from Sher Shah Interchange to Rukanpur have all been blocked to all traffic owing to limited visibility.
The highway police have encouraged drivers to turn on their fog lights when travelling at a modest pace because visibility has been reduced owing to intense fog.
Due to severe fog, visibility was reduced to zero metres in certain areas, prompting the Motorway Police to advise people to stay at home and avoid needless travel.
