KARACHI — Federal Minister for Planning, Development, Reforms, and Special Initiatives Asad Umar said on Friday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) administration is not building “Surrey Mahals” or apartments in London, but that tax payers’ money is being spent for the development of the people.
He stated that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the head of the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP), is merely a youngster who shouldn’t be taken seriously, while speaking at the Green Line Bus Service inaugural event on Friday.
The Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway will be opened in the next three months, according to the minister, while work on the Gujjar and Oranagi nullahs is 50% complete.
Asad Umar went on to state that the Green Line is one of five federal government-funded megaprojects in the city that has been finished, and that commercial service would begin on December 25.
