In a bomb in Quetta, one person was killed and numerous more were injured.

QUETTA – On Saturday, a bomb in Quetta’s Kandahari Bazar near Shahrah-e-Iqbal district killed at least one person and injured numerous others.

Following the explosion, security and emergency personnel raced to the scene.

The injured were taken to the Quetta Civil Hospital, and the area was closed off.

According to police officials, the bomb damaged surrounding stores and shattered car windows.

According to the preliminary police investigation, an improvised explosive device was put in a motorbike stopped on the side of the road. Four automobiles parked along the roadside were also destroyed by the blast.

Mir Bizenjo, the Chief Minister of Balochistan, has severely denounced the bombing.

Bizenjo instructed the police to make a report in this respect and bring the offenders to justice in a statement published after the detonation. He warned, “The terrorists will not be spared.”

The explosion was heard across the city, generating fear.
