Three Murree hotels were shut down for raising room rates.

MURREE – On Tuesday, the authorities launched an investigation into the hotels for raising rents in snowstorm-ravaged Murree.

According to reports, three hotels have been closed due to excessively high room rates. According to the tourists, the cost of lodging has risen from Rs6,000 to Rs70,000 per room.

Some people also complained about rising food prices as a result of the severe weather.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has promised to take indiscriminate action against those responsible for the negligence that has claimed the lives of 23 people.

He added that the nation is saddened by the deaths of innocent people in the blizzard.

The ban on tourists entering Murree and Galiyat, on the other hand, has been extended for another 24 hours. Sheikh Rashid, the Minister of Interior, made the announcement in a statement.

Residents of Murree and surrounding areas will be exempt from the ban. The decision to lift the ban will be made after a thorough review of the situation.
