Babar Azam has been named ODI cricketer of the year for 2021.

Babar Azam, the captain of the national cricket team, named a cricketer of the year 2021 for the one-day international (ODI) format on Monday.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) congratulated Babar Azam on his prize achievement.

The skipper has scored 405 runs in six One-Day Internationals (ODIs) at an average of 67 runs. Babar also scored 158 runs in an amazing performance against England.

Previously, the International Cricket Council (ICC) elected Babar Azam captain of the ODI Team of the Year. The ICC Team of the Year recognised 11 remarkable people who wowed everyone, whether with the bat, the ball, or their all-round exploits in a calendar year.

The Pakistani cricketer was also named captain of the Official ICC Men’s T20 Team of the Year.
