Kohli was allegedly forced out of India’s captain, according to Shoaib Akhtar.

Kohli was “forced” to step down as captain, according to Pakistan’s great former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar.

“Virat did not want to stand down, but he was pushed to,” Shoib Akhtar stated, according to media sources. He insisted that he was not in the best of moods at the moment.

Virat Kohli, India’s great batsman, announced his intention to step down as the Test team’s captain on January 15, barely a day after losing the Test series in South Africa. After seven years in the high-pressure position, he had posted on Twitter, “Everything has to come to a halt at some point, and for me as Test captain of India, it’s now.”

“Don’t attempt too many things,” Akhtar told the Indian player, adding that he is a terrific batsman who has accomplished more than anybody else in the world.

Kohli only has to go out there and play with his natural rhythm, according to Akhtar.
