Two police officers were killed by armed gunmen in Quetta.

In an incident on Friday in Quetta’s Eastern bypass region, two police officers were slain and another was wounded.

According to reports, the incident occurred near Bhoosa Mandi in Quetta’s Eastern bypass region when suspected armed gunmen sprayed gunshots at police officers, killing two officers on the scene.

Security personnel and rescue teams arrived on the scene shortly after the event and moved the remains of two slain police officers, ASI Rehmatullah and Constable Ali Asghar, to the hospital.

According to police officials, the officers were on normal patrol in the region when they were ambushed by terrorists. After the attack, the assailants were able to depart the site.
