ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – While speaking about the external conspiracy and the threatening letter shown by Prime Minister Imran Khan at a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally held at Parade Ground in Islamabad on Tuesday, Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar said that PM Imran Khan is ready to present the threatening letter in the Supreme Court.
Asad Umar, a top PTI official, told the media in Islamabad alongside Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry that the Prime Minister had highlighted a letter suggesting that foreign forces were engaged in the no-confidence vote in his address to the gathering.
He also noted that some people are asking why we aren’t showing them the letters, and that certain secrets are of national significance.
He went on to say that the Prime Minister informed him that if there is any question, we are ready to show this letter to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court since everyone trusts the Chief Justice of the Honorable Court.
He explained, “I am not authorised to mention the words in the letter.”
The federal minister revealed certain critical points from the letter, including threats that if Imran Khan defeats the no-confidence motion and retains his position as Pakistan’s Prime Minister, he would suffer dire consequences.
While discussing it, he stated that it is crucial to note that the letter’s date is prior to the motion of no-confidence, which is significant because it specifically addresses the motion of no-confidence.
More crucially, it indicates unequivocally that if the no-confidence motion fails and Imran Khan becomes Prime Minister, the repercussions would be catastrophic, he warned.
Asad Umar went on to say that information had only been discussed with high military commanders and a few cabinet members owing to legal limits. That is why the Prime Minister has requested that it be presented to the Supreme Court, he added.
While the letter does not specifically address Pakistan’s foreign policy, the message is obvious that the no-confidence vote and outside forces are linked, according to the federal minister.
Asad Umar went on to state that there is no question that Nawaz Sharif is engaged in the affair since he is conducting meet-ups in London.
If the Prime Minister wishes to share any additional information, he stated that it is up to him.
This is something that PDM’s senior leadership is aware of. The Prime Minister believes it is critical to inform the public in these circumstances, he said.
The federal minister posed a question to the political leaders, stating that many members of the National Assembly are unaware of the other elements behind the motion of no confidence.
They clearly do not want to be a part of a movement that threatens the country.
