Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s coalition administration has finalised the selections for the federal cabinet, which is expected to be sworn in today.
According to reports, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would receive 12 ministries, while the Pakistan People’s Party will receive nine (PPP). Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) would receive four ministries, while Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) will receive two.
Other coalition allies, notably the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), and the Jamhori Watan Party (JWP), will each receive one ministry under the new arrangement.
According to sources, the PML-N will have two state ministers while the PPP will have two state ministers. One PPP member and two PML-N members will serve as advisors to the Prime Minister.
