(Reuters) – Toyota Motor’s (7203.T) Indian unit warned on Sunday that a data breach may have exposed certain customers’ personal information.

Toyota India said that the data breach at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, a joint venture with Indian giant Kirloskar Group, has been reported to the appropriate Indian authorities (KIRL.NS).

“Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has been notified by one of its service providers of an incident that may have exposed personal information of some of TKM’s customers on the internet,” the company said in an emailed statement, without specifying the size of the data breach or the number of customers affected.

Toyota Motor announced in October that an unrelated problem with its T-Connect service may have exposed roughly 296,000 pieces of user information.
