ISLAMABAD – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) could not make a decision on the topic after analysing the petitions submitted by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members of the National Assembly (MNAs) in a session.
According to sources, the session agreed to write to the governors of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to request that the provinces hold general elections on the same day. “The ECP is prepared to conduct elections in the provinces since lists of returning officers (ROs) and deputy returning officers (DROs) have been requested,” the sources stated.
