QUETTA – Jam Kamal, the Chief Minister of Balochistan, stated on Wednesday that he is unconcerned about the no-confidence resolution presented by opposition members.
In a tweet, President Balochistan Awami Party stated that what counts to him is if his party and its partners are with him or not.
“The day I don’t have my own party and a coalition majority, being the leader of the house is pointless for me, and I will resign,” he continued.
It is worth noting that opposition Balochistan Assembly members presented a no-confidence resolution against Chief Minister Jam Kamal on Tuesday.
With the signatures of 16 opposition members, a no-confidence resolution against the Chief Minister of Balochistan was filed to the Secretary Balochistan Assembly.
In a press conference following the filing of the no-confidence motion, opposition MPs stated that the motion was submitted on the basis of four issues.
They claim he has no jurisdiction to decide over the provincial government’s performance during the previous three years. In the current circumstances, everyone in the province wants to depose the administration, claiming that Balochistan is plagued by the worst forms of corruption and theft.
Referring to the movement, opposition members stated that they have the needed number for the movement’s success but would not divulge it at this time.
The 16 opposition members who signed the no-confidence motion include opposition leaders Malik Sikandar, Sana Baloch, Nasrullah Zairy, Asghar Tareen, Zabid Reiki, Younis Aziz Zehri, Akhtar Lango, Malik Naseer Shahwani, and others.
