ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has directed all pertinent departments to implement appropriate measures to alleviate the potential consequences of flooding and severe weather, given that monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are anticipated to enter the country’s upper regions on July 28, 2024, and to stay there until July 31, 2024.
According to a press release, rainfall under the influence of this system may cause mudslides, landslides, or falling boulders that could impair roadways in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Galiyat, Murree, Gilgit Baltistan, and AJK during this time.
